Nikki Haley and Michael Haley: A Love Story
College Sweethearts
Nikki Haley and Michael Haley first met as students at Clemson University in 1989. They quickly hit it off and began dating. After graduating, they got married in 1996.
Building a Family
The Haleys welcomed their first child, Rena, in 1998. Their second child, Nalin, was born in 2001. The family lives in Lexington, South Carolina.
Nikki's Political Career
Nikki Haley began her political career in 2004 when she was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives. She served in the House for six years before being elected Governor of South Carolina in 2010.
Michael's Support
Michael Haley has been a constant source of support for his wife throughout her political career. He often attends her events and is always by her side on election night.
